Preparation for Laser Hair Removal Procedure
Proper skin preparation is an important stage that directly affects the safety of the procedure, the level of comfort, and the final result. Following simple recommendations will help avoid irritation and make laser hair removal максимально effective.
1️⃣ At least 3 days before the procedure
A few days before laser hair removal, it is important to stop all hair removal methods that damage the hair follicle.
- Do not perform electrolysis or waxing
- Do not use epilators, depilatory creams, or tweezers
- The only permitted hair removal method is shaving
This is necessary so that the laser can effectively target the hair follicle.
2️⃣ At least 2 weeks before the procedure
During this period, the skin should remain in its natural state without additional pigmentation or irritation.
- Avoid tanning (sun exposure, solarium)
- Do not use self-tanners or bronzers
- Do not take antibiotics from the tetracycline group or medications based on fluoroquinolones
Tanned skin and certain medications may increase sensitivity and the risk of side effects.
3️⃣ At least 3 days before the procedure
Before the procedure, the skin should be as calm and clean as possible.
- Do not use cosmetic products containing alcohol
- Avoid aggressive peels, scrubs, and acids in the planned treatment area
This will help reduce the risk of irritation and make the procedure more comfortable.
4️⃣ No later than 10 hours before the procedure
The final preparation stage directly before your visit.
- Shave the treatment area with a clean razor
- Do not apply creams, oils, deodorants, or other cosmetic products to the treatment area
- The skin must be clean, dry, and free of irritation
Why is preparation for laser hair removal important? Following the recommendations before the procedure allows you to:
- minimize the risk of burns and irritation
- increase the effectiveness of each session
- reduce the total number of procedures
- achieve long-lasting and predictable results
